COMMUNITY OUTREACH
& CULTURAL EDUCATION

At Admission Nation, we believe in making flamenco accessible to everyone. Music and dancing can give a person increased confidence, self-esteem, motivation, and positive energy.

Through our community programs, we bring the passion and artistry of flamenco to diverse venues across our community, enriching lives and preserving cultural heritage.

Senior Center Performances

We bring the joy and energy of flamenco directly to our senior communities. These intimate performances:

  • Create meaningful connections through music and dance

  • Stimulate memories and emotions through traditional Spanish melodies

  • Encourage participation through rhythmic clapping and simple movements

  • Provide seniors with engaging cultural experiences

Library Programs

Our library programs combine education and entertainment, offering:

  • Interactive demonstrations of flamenco music and dance

  • Historical presentations about flamenco's cultural roots

  • Hands-on workshops teaching basic rhythms and movements

  • Cultural storytelling through music and dance

Community Artists

Kay Takahashi

My flamenco journey began in New York back in 2012.  The passion just keeps growing stronger.  I've been fortunate to study with incredible maestros over the years, and each one has deepened my understanding and love of this art form.  There's always something new to discover in flamenco, that's part of what makes it so captivating.

What really lights me up is sharing this beautiful tradition with others.  Whether it's through community programs, local events, or intimate gatherings, I love creating spaces where people can experience the power and joy of flamenco firsthand.  There's something magical about watching someone connect with the music and movement, maybe for the very first time.

Flamenco isn't just what I do, it's woven into who I am.  And I'm excited to keep sharing that passion with anyone curious enough to step into this world with me.

Family Fun Flamenco

Family Fun Flamenco at Montclair Library

'Family Fun Flamenco' is our community outreach initiative to increase access to cultural opportunities for local communities around the world. We debuted the production in Montclair, NJ in 2017 and are excited to share this recap of one of our shows at the Montclair Library! In 'Family Fun Flamenco' we share a glimpse of the life of a traditional gypsy’s passion, love, and pride through this interactive show designed for family audiences. Audiences learn the gypsy rhythm and rich history, and get to witness traditional and modern flamenco performances.

We perform this show at public libraries, senior centers, outdoor events, cafés, and other local venues in all of the national & international cities we tour. Want to bring 'Family Fun Flamenco' to your community? Contact us! Email info@admission-nation.com, or consider donating through Fractured Atlas is a 501(c)(3) public charity.
